She took to Twitter to apologize saying, "I am a huge fan of the show Orange is the New black, actress Uzo Aduba, and the character she has created. It certainly was never my intention to be disrespectful or demeaning to anyone in any way. I realize my costume hurt and offended people and I truly apologize."
I think that the Safe Haven scarlet should have thought the costume through more because her makeup may offend a lot of people. Even though people are becoming less racist from a couple of years ago people should know when they have gone too far. Especially celebrities should be extra careful because what they do affects there image.
