Casino Christmas

This year Christmas was spent differently then any other year. Normally we would go to a family members house and be bored for the majority of the day but this Christmas me and my mom went to the casino.

My grandfather died this May and we both really didn't feel like going anywhere even though we never actually said it out loud. My idea was to go see a movie and just hang but my mom wanted to go to the casino. I recently turned 21 in November and my mom wanted to show me what the casino's were like so we went on a little trip.

I don't know what I was expecting from the casino but from the moment I got there I wanted to leave. Something was so unsettling about people spending large sums of money I saw a man spend over 5,000 dollars in Blackjack betting hundreds each game. I already hate spending money on stupid things so this was an issue.

How do people play slots the entire time they are at the casino because they are so repetitive and boring. People can sit there for hours pushing the spin button over and over. If I am going to bet I do not want to spend countless hours testing how far my patience can go while I'm on the penny slots.

What I realized at the casino is that although you may be people at a casino your basically playing by yourself because it's your money. I was also surprised how crowded it was on Christmas. The only bright side of spending my Christmas at a casino were the free drinks involved that never stopped coming. But after getting countless dirty looks and "your an alcoholic"comments from my mom I decided my drinking fun was over.

My first time at a casino will be a time I would like to forget, hopefully when I go to A.C or a better casino I'll have a better time. Maybe I will have an actual job by then as well because right now in my life how can I bet when I don't know if I'll get anything in return because the most likely situation is that I lose whatever I bet. I don't want to waste money do you know who I am?
